New Zealand Merino

Asolon : New Zealand Merino

Our eco-friendly story starts in one of the most beautiful and immaculate locations of our planet: The Southern Alps of New Zealand.

That’s where our Merino wool comes from and where we select our close-knit suppliers who are exclusively chosen after considering their environmental responsibility, sustainable farming systems and superb quality of their wool.

Why Merino?

Merino wool boasts exceptional properties. It always feels silky on the skin and it’s always comfortable to wear. It also keeps you cool in summers and warms in winters due to its temperature control qualities.

It’s natural

It is also lighter and finer than regular wool. Merino is 100% natural, it doesn’t irritate your skin and it has also been linked with reducing skin allergies.

Improves sleep

According to medical studies, Merino improves sleep in babies and infants. Following a research at the Cambridge Maternity Hospital in 1979, it was revealed that babies sleeping in Merino cried less and slept better.

Easy to care for

Merino is wrinkle and static free. It is also machine washable at 40 degrees and biodegradable.

Merino is the safest option for your children because it’s a flame retardant. It doesn’t melt or stick to the skin. Moreover, Merino protects you from UV radiations better than other materials such as synthetic and cotton.

Merino is also smell resistant and able to draw moisture away from your skin and keep you dry.
